read it.

Tuesday: Gym – please bring gym shoes to school

“The Pack”.

Wednesday: No Chapel

Thursday: Gym – please bring gym shoes to school
The reading book comes home. Please listen to your child
Read “Sam, Come Back!” (pages 14-23).

Friday: Music
Please return the reading book to school.


Notes:

There is no school Monday, September 1st, because of Labor Day.

Each week there will be stories sent home for your child to read to you. I will write the days the stories come home in the Class News. Please listen and help your son/daughter read the stories. Most weeks the stories will come home on Tuesday and Thursday.

If your child has any health concerns such as vision problems, allergies, hearing loss, etc. please let me know as soon as possible.

Today your daughter/son is bringing home a yellow math folder. Inside is the first Family Letter which explains our math curriculum. Please read the letter and sign your name on the bottom after you have read it and return the folder to school. This letter will stay in the math folder since it has some information regarding the home links that come home for Chapter 1. At the beginning of each chapter a new Family Letter will be sent home. You may discard the letter at the end of the chapter. The students will be bringing the Math Folders home with Home Links in them. We will begin Home Links sometime in September.

Please take some time this week to read all the papers sent home. Please sign and return all the necessary forms. Thank you!

A book order form is attached. If you want to order books, please return the form and check (made out to the book company) to school by
Wednesday, September 3rd. The book order forms are offered for your
convenience you are not obligated to purchase books.

Attached on a colored sheet of paper are six word cards. These are the high frequency words we will learn this week. Please have your child cut them apart. You can review with them the words they have learned. Each week you will receive a new sheet of word cards. Please save them and use them as flashcards, or ask your child to make sentences with the words. The goal is to make high frequency words sight words.

Please remember our class in your prayers as we learn, play, and grow together.
